Founded by Pete Johnson, Tatuaje (Spanish for “tattoo”) is a premier boutique brand that has been a favorite of serious cigar smokers for years. Johnson’s vision was to create modern cigars that captured the spirit of old-world Cuban blends, a goal he achieved through his legendary partnership with the Garcia family at the My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua. Tatuaje cigars are renowned for their quality, complexity, and signature “Pepin spice.”

  • The Tatuaje Cabaiguan Guapos MAD (Maduro) is known for its full-flavored, medium-bodied profile, with notes that are bolder than the original Cabaiguan line. Spicy with Cedar, roasted nuts, cream, espresso, and bread.

  • The Cabaiguan Guapos Natural features a handsome Ecuadorian wrapper with binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua. Medium-bodied, the Cabaiguan Guapos is a flavorful cigar. Nicaraguan spices give them a spicy kick with added notes of cedar, roasted nuts, cream, espresso, and bread that is best enjoyed with a cognac, an IPA beer, or a port wine.

  • The Tatuaje Cojonu Broadleaf 2015 features a robust and complex flavor profile. It opens with earth, fruit, and baker’s spice, evolving into a blend of natural tobacco, cocoa, pepper, and dark notes as the smoke progresses. It is considered one of the stronger cigars in the Tatuaje line, designed for experienced cigar smokers. The FT187 boasts a dark, oily Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler, which contributes to its intense and complex flavors.

  • The Tatuaje Negociant Monopole features a well-balanced flavor profile with a blend of sweet and creamy notes, alongside hints of spice, earth, and leather. Tasting notes include cedar, cream, toasty vanilla, almonds, coffee, hay, and a caramel-like finish. The cigar also exhibits a creamy texture to the smoke.

  • This fantastic stick features a Corojo 99 Rosado shade-grown wrapper, with Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The wrapper feels elegant and thin, with lots of oil coating it and a simple texture. tasting notes begin with the beautiful grand of cayenne pepper and fade immediately. It allows the cigar to release bold notes of pecan, vanilla, honey over musk and caramel and, with a few light flavors surrounding it. The draw is utterly exquisite, with every puff giving off a massive cloud of thick white smoke that vanish into thin air very fast.
